SUMMARY

Created in the heart of Durham, Gala’s fabulous family pantomime tells the story of Jack, his magic beans, a huge beanstalk and a scary run-in with The Giant.

Hilarious duo Paul Hartley and Jane Deane are back as the dim-witted Jack and his sidekick Jill. Facing hard times, they have to take their cow Milkshake to market to sell for their mother Dame Shrivell (Donald McBride). But evil baddie Fleshcreep (Neil Armstrong) is determined to stop them. Meanwhile Baron D’Oolally (Mark Stratton) aims to marry off his daughter Lucy (Hayley Emma Otway) to a Prince of his choosing... but Jack has other ideas.

And overseeing the whole proceedings with a little magic is Fairy Hazbean (Jane Holman). And then there’s the giant plantlife to contend with… where’s Alan Titchmarsh when you need him?

Filled with mayhem, magic and live music, it’s a hilarious ride through the traditional fairytale story, with all the laughter, sparkle and surprises you have come to expect from a Gala Christmas. Let Durham’s pantomime family make your festive season complete.

Featuring the voice of Brian Blessed as Giant Blunderboar.

Tickets are already selling well, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Admission: £6.50 – £15(£13.50)
