SUMMARY

The Crucible is a chilling tale of how the small community of Salem is stirred into mass hysteria by superstition, paranoia, and malice. It is a savage attack on the evils of mindless persecution and the terrifying power of false accusations.

Abigail Williams will stop at nothing to recapture the heart of John Proctor, a married man, even if it means accusing others of witchcraft and igniting the deadly flames of hysteria that will ultimately lead many to the gallows.

Hild Bede Theatre brings to life the fears, desires and disputes of Arthur Miller’s classic and depicts the horrifying stories of those who lived and died in the face of cruelty and injustice.
