Ooook! Productions

SUMMARY

When you create something so powerful it can think for itself, does it truly belong to you any more? Was it ever really yours at all?

These questions are central to Ooook! Productions’ second offering of the term, George Bernard Shaw’s ‘PYGMALION’, in an original production that cuts to the heart of the conflicts of identity at the centre of the comedy.

Henry Higgins, celebrated professor of linguistics, makes a bet that he can pass Eliza Doolittle, common Covent Garden flower-girl, off as a Duchess at an Embassy ball after teaching her to speak like a lady – but at what cost to her?
