SUMMARY

Ooook! Productions presents Terry Pratchett's 'Lords and Ladies', adapted for the stage by Irana Brown, in the Assembly Rooms on Thursday 20th, Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd February. Performances start at 7:30pm, with an additional Saturday matinee (2:30pm).

Elves are wonderful. They provoke wonder.

Elves are fantastic. They create fantasies.

Elves are glamorous. They project glamour.

Elves are terrific. They beget terror.

No one ever said elves are nice.

A royal wedding approaches and the hills are ringing with the merciless laughter of elves... but Granny Weatherwax “can’t be ‘avin with that”. This loose parody of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' comes complete with witches, wizards and warrior queens, the world's second greatest lover, a bibliophilic orangutan and (despite everyone's best efforts) Morris dancing – with a hey-nonny-nonny and blood all over the place.

In support of the Orangutan Foundation.

Tickets can be purchased on the door or pre-booked online at www.durhamsu.com/events.

£5 (DST) / £5.50 (student) / £6
