"I merely refer to the most important and far-reaching case in my career —one upon which I have laboured for nearly fourteen months, and which is now rapidly approaching a singularly diverting climax—the case of Professor Moriarty.”

Collingwood College presents an unique adaption of William Gillette’s 1899 play ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Drama in Four Acts’, a play that takes inspiration from the short stories ‘A Scandal in Bohemia’, ‘The Final Problem’ and ‘A Study in Scarlet’, with a female Doctor Watson and Professor Moriarty.

In a gloomy house in London, Alice Faulkner is held captive by the criminal couple, Madge and James Larrabee, in an attempt to obtain letters and photographs that will enable them to blackmail a wealthy family of foreign nobility. Sherlock Holmes is entrusted with acquiring these letters and photographs but finds himself torn between solving the case and protecting Alice Faulkner. Little does Holmes know that his arch-nemesis Professor Moriarty is also paying close attention to the case and is gathering all her allies in one final attempt to kill Sherlock Holmes. With his ingenious detective skills and trusted ally Doctor Watson for assistance, Holmes must prepare to take on his most dangerous case to date; a case full of mystery, emotion and a villainous plot against his life.
